Built on doing the work ourselves
A.A. Samad Engineering & Construction was established in Kano to provide reliable mechanical and electrical engineering services to the energy and facilities sectors in Nigeria's north and beyond. The company was founded with a focus on doing technical work directly rather than acting as a coordination layer between clients and subcontractors.
Over time, our scope grew to cover six distinct engineering disciplines: HDPE piping and secondary containment, mechanical services and pump systems, electrical and electronics installation, water supply and automation, tank calibration, and fuel management products including ATGs and dispensers.
Kano remains our base. We take on projects across Nigeria where the scope warrants it and where we can maintain direct control of the engineering work.

What we are here to do
To deliver engineering work that holds up — on site, over time, and under the operating conditions our clients actually face. We do not consider a project complete until it runs correctly.
Technical responsibility
We carry out the engineering work directly. When a problem arises after handover, there is no chain of subcontractors to chase — we come back and fix it.
Honest scoping
We scope jobs accurately before quoting. We do not underprice to win work and then claim variations. What we quote is what we charge for the agreed scope.
Operational awareness
We understand that most of our clients cannot shut down for extended periods. We plan and sequence our work to minimise disruption to operations that need to keep running.
Documentation that holds
Calibration charts, as-built drawings and commissioning records are issued in the formats that regulators, insurers and compliance auditors expect. Paperwork done right matters as much as the physical installation.

Safe sites, every time
We operate under a Health, Safety and Environment policy that covers every site our teams work on. Fuel infrastructure, electrical installations and pressure systems all carry inherent risk, and we take that seriously.
All site personnel use appropriate personal protective equipment. Risk assessments are conducted before each task. We observe all applicable Nigerian regulatory HSE requirements for downstream petroleum installations.
We expect our site practices to leave each location cleaner and safer after we leave than when we arrived.
