Why HDPE, and why correct installation matters
High-density polyethylene pipe is the standard for underground fuel lines, water supply and chemical conveyance because it is chemically resistant, flexible, and produces joints that are as strong as the pipe itself when fused correctly.
Incorrect jointing is the primary cause of underground fuel leaks in Nigeria's downstream sector. Butt fusion and electrofusion jointing require specific equipment, controlled procedures and trained operators. We carry out the fusion process directly on site and pressure-test every installation before handover.
Secondary containment — an outer sleeve or duct that catches leaks from the primary pipe — is increasingly required by regulators and insurers on forecourt fuel lines. We supply and install primary and secondary containment systems and integrate them with leak detection where required.

From enquiry to commissioning
Site assessment and scope
We visit the site, assess existing infrastructure and agree the scope of work in detail. For fuel line replacements we identify connection points, run lengths and containment requirements.
Material specification and supply
We specify the correct pipe grade, diameter and wall thickness for the application and supply materials from our inventory or by procurement — depending on size and lead time.
Installation and fusion
Our team carries out trenching, laying, jointing and fitting. Fusion is performed using calibrated equipment following correct temperature and time parameters. Each joint is visually inspected after cooling.
Pressure test and commissioning
We pressure-test the installed line to the required standard before any fuel or water is introduced. Results are recorded and provided to the client. Commissioning confirms the system is ready for service.
